crib notes / nyc rest, without the rulebook

things worth keeping in the nursery.

a few things i reach for again and again. no gadgets that promise sleep, just the quiet basics that make a calm night a little easier to reach.

worth saying plainly: this is my list, as a mom in new york city with a formula-fed baby. that shapes what's on it. the bottles, the pitcher, the sterilizer bags and the bottle washer are all here because we were washing bottles every day, and if you're nursing that whole section shrinks to almost nothing. the apartment shapes it too, because everything here had to earn the space it takes up. take the shape of the list, not every line of it.

some of these are affiliate links, which means if you buy through one i earn a small amount at no extra cost to you. it doesn't change what's on this list. i'm telling you because you should always know when someone recommending a product has a reason to.

the comforter swaddle

the comforter swaddle

the things i'd leave off the list entirely are in the letter, with the reasoning for each.
